Shepherd, Bactest’s second product, was launched on March 5 2015. Shepherd is an Activated Sludge Monitoring and Management System that gives plant operators, process scientists and management accurate and timely information, enabling them to better manage aeration, cut energy costs and carbon footprint as well as early identification of toxic shock which can be extremely costly. On 21 November 2016 Bactest announced Speedy Breedy SeaSure®, the first of a family of Speedy Breedy® variants which has been designed for the ballast water testing market. Speedy Breedy SeaSure® is a complete solution to test for compliance with the IMO-D2 and other standards to ensure that ships are not discharging ballast water that is contaminated with certain bacteria, phytoplankton and chemicals.
